Toronto Greenhouse’s mission is to foster the growth of the environmentally-friendly business community. Our signature event is a monthly networking session and speaker series which launched in 2009. This event brings together green companies and friends of the sector. With over 1000 event attendees per year, we are the leading environmental business forum in Toronto.

Fidel Reijerse, Resco Energy Inc.
Fidel Reijerse is a founder and the President of RESCo Energy Inc. RESCo Energy is an EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction & maintenance) company focused on the delivery of commercial rooftop solar projects for building owners and solar developers.
In 2006, Fidel and his partners founded RESCo Energy Inc. In 2010 Flynn Canada made a strategic investment in RESCo naturally evolving it from a design/builder to an EPCM with the ability to encapsulate construction and long-term roof risk. RESCo has had the honour of working with leading organizations such as Mountain Equipment Co-op, Canadian Tire, Trinity College, Campbell’s, LoyaltyOne, Tippet-Richardson, Potentia Energy and others to deliver some of the largest and most innovative solar roof tops in Canada.

Gael Mourant, President & CEO - ARXX Corporation
ARXX is a leading supplier of Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs) for green, energy‐efficient residential and commercial construction. ARXX products have been used in over 100,000 projects, representing 130 million square feet of walls and foundations, with over 35,000 trained installers throughout the United States and Canada.
ARXX ICF products enable significant energy savings, greater comfort, security and quiet, and a faster build than conventional construction. ARXX products have been used in numerous LEED‐certified projects, including Pennsylvania’s first LEED Gold school, California’s first LEED Certified school, and ARXX projects have received major industry and sustainability awards including the USGBC Leadership Award.
Prior to being with ARXX, Gael was CEO of CananPac ULC, a leading
Canadian manufacturer of paperboard packaging for the consumer packaged goods
industry. While at CanamPac, she won numerous awards for sustainable packaging and
developed the first carbon neutral paperboard packaging substrate in North America.

Peter A. Bruijns, MBA,P.Eng, President & CEO - BIOREM
Mr. Bruijns has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, is a Professional Engineer and earned a MBA from the Ivey School of Business. He has over 15 years of relevant senior management background and offers a strong experience base from which to lead. Mr. Bruijns joins BIOREM from his post as President of the Stiller Centre for Technology Commercialization. Previous to this role, Mr. Bruijns led a pioneering joint venture in Beijing, China in the healthcare field.
Headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, with offices in Victor, NY and Beijing, China, Biorem began as a derivative company from the University of Waterloo. Incorporated in 1991, Biorem has quickly grown as an industry leader in air pollution control.
Continued investment initiatives in R&D have allowed Biorem to expand its core business from odor control to total air emissions control, tapping into rapidly growing key markets such as methane (biogas) emission management and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
Peter Telford, President and CEO - Peat Resources Limited
Peter Telford is the President and CEO of Peat Resources Limited, Toronto. He holds B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in geology from the University of Queensland, Australia, and has over 35 years of experience in the mining, energy and environmental fields with government and the private sector. He held various roles in the Ontario Ministries of Natural Resources, Northern Development and Mines, Environment, and Energy and, from 1997-2001, was Ontario Ministry of Energy representative to the National Climate Change Process working on Canada’ s response to the Kyoto Protocol. Peat Resources Limited is a Toronto-based clean energy company, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, which was formed to develop and produce peat fuel. The Company has identified large biomass resources of fuel-grade peat on its properties in Ontario and Newfoundland. The northwestern Ontario property contains over 200 million tonnes, sufficient to supply OPG’s (Ontario Power Generation) northern generating stations for more than 20 years. In Newfoundland, permits cover about 130,000 hectares of productive peatlands.
Peat is biomass. It is used in electricity generating stations and other facilities requiring a long-term assured supply of environmentally favourable, economically competitive and consistent quality fuel. Peat Resources Limited aims to be the principal supplier of peat fuel, on a profitable and sustainable basis, to the North American energy market.

Ted Zettel, President - Organic Meadow
Ted Zettel grew up on a mixed farm in the southern part of the province of Ontario. In 1989 he became the first president of Ontar-Bio Organic Farmers Cooperative, a small grain cooperative which has grown into the largest organic coop in Canada, and the leading national brand of dairy products, Organic Meadow. Mr. Zettel’ s leadership in this very successful model for cooperative enterprise has made him a popular speaker at national and international conferences. His experience in the areas of coop governance and organization are widely valued.
As a Co-operative, Organic Meadow provides a unique opportunity for organic farmers in Ontario to collectively store, process and market organically-grown products. Our goal is to unite small family farms under one brand, letting them share in the benefits of our marketing efforts.
